Jan 2008 - Eric Harry wins a silver LIA at the London International Awards for "Original Music and Lyrics" for a Newfoundland Tourism Commercial he completed for Target Marketing. What a remarkable event. One of the most prestigious awards any composer can get is one of these ten pound trophies! Eric said:" It's amazing how simplicity played a big part in the emotionalism of this spot. It's sung acapella, no sound effects, no instruments and no voiceover. Just a female singer and effective lyrics. The visuals are all animation that looks like a crayon or watercolor treatment. Beautifully combination. Thanks to all the creatives at Target Marketing and especially the wonderful vocals from Melissa Murphy of St. John's Newfoundland.
